ABSTRACT

The paper presents the improvement of quality assurance at an automotive industry which produces multi-purpose vehicle. Their multi-purpose vehicle is a global product, which means that it should concern not only domestic market demand but also international market demand and specification. Thus to maintain customer satisfaction on product quality, one of the efforts can be done to improve quality assurance level is by implementing Quality Assurance Network activity.

Studi Dermaga Tipe Bulkheads dengan Kapasitas Kapal Maksimum 10.000 DWT

ABSTRAK

The cost that was needed in the development of a quay was very big, sehingga the development of the quay that was quite economical in our country really was needed. Oleh because that must be carried out by the study of various good problems in planning and tinjauan the cost. When being seen from the aspect of planning as well as the analysis of the cost, the quay bulkheads merupakan one of the quite economical quays, so as to this thesis was carried out studi the quay bulkheads both in planning and the cost. This research is aimed to identify the strength-weakness, and opportunity-threat of concentrate fooder product of Koperasi Susu Warga Mulya so that its recent position can be found out. By finding out the position of concentrate fooder product, marketing strategy based on conformity between internal situation (strength and weakness) and external situation (opportunity and threat) of Koperasi Susu Warga Mulya can be determined.

The method used was descriptive analysis research. Research data included primary and secondary data that are collected by interview, observation and recording. Analysis to internal and external environment used SWOT analysis ofRangkuti model (1997). Internal analysis identified strength and weakness factors compared with its competitor, while external analysis identified factors tahat being opportunity and threat of the company. By the SWOT analysis, it can be found out business position of the cooperation so that it can be determined the marketing strategy must be implemented From internal analysis result, the strength factors of Koperasi Susu Warga Mulya are product quality, license from Department of Animal Husbandry, human resources quality, product and price capacity, while it weakness factors and
Research and Development, promotion, distribution activity, raw material price and promotioan budget. From internal analysis result showed factors that can be opportunity are availability or raw material, the better understanding of livestock quality, while its threat factors are climate, new invention, rupiah fluctuation, same competitiors, and market price situation. From SWOT analysis resulted that Koperasi Susu Warga Mulya position on quadrant I by score of streangthweakness 0,73 and opportunity-threat 0,72. because of the company position, strategy must be implemented is growth-oriented strategy or intensive market development

Tesis : The Design and Measurement Performance Based on the Balanced Scorecard Approach

ABSTRACTS

Designing the system of performance measurement is one of the things which is considered important in measuring the performance for achieving certain long term goals of a company. Therefore, design is the foundation which is used to measure the performance of PT X Surabaya which intends to find out the performance which has been achieved by the company at the moment.
This study discuss the design and measurement performance of PT X Surabaya based on the balanced scorecard approach which is initiated by having the objective design which refers to lag and lead to find out the key performance indicator (CPI). Then, the researcher analyzes the performance measurement by employing Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method which is applied in the form of Expert choice software method and Objective Matrix Method (OMAX) and traffic light. By employing those methods the company's performance will be measured accurately so the step of the improvement priority which is needed suits to the strategic goal which is expected by the company will be able to perform.
Findings show that the objective design, namely 15 KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for 4 Balanced Scorecard perspectives which are observed (finance, costumer, internal business process, learning and growth) has been achieved. Therefore, 15 KPI in the business unit have the most KPI responsibility in the branch office project 40% (6 KPI), HRD 20% (3 KPI), R&D 20% (3KPI), logistic 13.33% (2KPI), and the rest 6.67% for finance (1 KPI). The result of each KPI measurement by employing Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method and scoring by employing Objective Matrix Method (OMAX) for each Balanced Scorecard perspectives are finance perspective 95.95 (43.29%), consumer perspective 219.19 (33.66%), internal business process perspective 89.60 (16.34%) and the learning and growth perspective 109.45 (6.71%). From findings, it is concluded that the company's performance is not maximal yet. It is shown by the value of the performance from each perspective, namely finance perspective 5.27 (average), consumer perspective 6.74 (average), internal business process perspective 6.40 (average) and the learning and growth perspective 5.75 (average). Form measurements, it is found out that the overall performance of PT X Surabaya has an achievement index of 5.82. Based on the value of performance, it is concluded that it is in the AVERAGE category. Next, the performance which are in the well/green category are 6 KPI, 9 are in the red/bad category. In order to improve its performance, the company should focuses on the business unit improvement as the main priority so it will be the supporting factor to reach the maximum performance in the future.

Abstract

The scientific goals of the AMIGA project are based on the analysis of a significant amount of spectroscopic 3D data. In order to perform this work we present an initiative to develop a new VO compliant package, including present core applications and tasks offered by the Groningen Image Processing System (GIPSY), and new ones based on use cases elaborated in collaboration with ad- vanced users. One of the main goals is to provide local interoperability between GIPSY (visualization and data analysis) and other VO software. The connectivity with the Virtual Observatory environment will provide general access to 3D data VO archives and services, maximizing the potential for scientific discovery.
